In order to add a checklist to your content library, begin by clicking on the “Checklists” tab located on the far left of the screen. You will notice that checklists are grouped into categories. If you would like to create a new category of checklists, click on “Create New Category,” and name it whatever you wish.
Once that is done, click on “Create Checklist.” You will then give the the checklist a name and description as well as set a passing score, clicking “Save” once this is done.
You will then be presented with what’s called the “Checklist Editor.” Continue by adding the first category of questions. Once that first category or group of questions is created, you can add specific questions by clicking on the”+” icon.
In addition to typing in the question itself, you can also include a description of the question by inputting that description into the respective field. You will also have the ability to input links to both internal and external training materials.
For each question, you have the ability to upload photos. By clicking on the camera icon, you can open your photo library and select which photos you would like to see for each respective question.
The “Answers” tab is where you will set your answer choices. CoInspect allows you to input any answer choice you would like. In a simple case, for example, answer choices could be “Yes,” “No,” “Maybe,” and/or “Not Sure.”
You also have the ability to have answer choices require certain measurements. For instance, if you would like to incorporate a temperature measurement as part of an answer choice, include “degrees” as the measurement type and select or input the measuring requirement.
CoInspect also allows you to set “Action Steps.” Action steps allow you to set alerts based on how questions are answered. For example, an answer choice of “Yes” may trigger an alert to an administrative user.
The “Scoring” tab is the section where you can set a corresponding score for each question. In order to meet the passing score, what you can do is assign a “1” value to questions with “Yes” answers and then leave the others values as blank or 0.
At the same time, CoInspect has a stoplight system for setting answer choices, so you can show that an answer which is answered correctly will be marked with a green check mark while an answer that is answered incorrectly will be marked with a red X.
Once you have completed adding questions to your checklist, click the “Save” icon located on the top of the screen. Finally, a checklist will have been created and be a part of your own checklist library.
